A peer is one instance of a BitTorrent client running on a computer on the Internet that other clients connect to and transfer data. Usually a peer does not have the complete file, but only parts of it, however, peer can be used to refer to any participant in the swarm (in this case, also known as a client). Note that the colloquial definition of peer is anybody, leech or seed, involved in a torrent
A health (or avaiability) the number of full copies of the file available to the client. Each seeder adds 1.0 to this number, as they have one complete copy of the file. A connected peer with a fraction of the file available adds that fraction to the availability, if no other peer has this part of the file. (ie. a peer with 65.3% of the file downloaded increases the availability by 0.653, when two peers who both have the same 50% of the file downloaded and there is one seeder the availability is 1.5)

This is Jas' version of Mac Os X 10.4.8 with PPF 1 (posted by Dellium on Demon) & PPF 2 (posted by the Defiant, it corrects 10.4.8's Disk Utility problem)
You can grab 3rd Party Drivers on

but I haven't tried any yet.
When you install, only select the Intel or AMD drivers in the installation list.
Do not select any added graphics drivers, as they seem buggish. Try to download newer version instead.

Is This 64 bit OS. Recently i downloaded 10.4.8 intel amd sse2/sse3 beta v2. i have installed This Jas' version of Mac Os X 10.4.8 with PPF 1 & PPF 2 on vmware workstation it gives me arror "you are installed 64 bit operating system. you need to change vmware settings 32 bit to 64 bit. what is this?

I hv successfully installed and ran it on my desktop. All is well (usb, geforce 7600, accept for the sound. My mobo has Realtek al8883 sound chip. So far I only found al8883 kext for Intel boards but none for AMD boards yet. I opted for an pre-historic ALC93 soundcard instead and it's working (although system profiler-much like Device Manager in Windows,do not seem to detect any PCI cards installed. Pity that I can't get the onboard sound working as my dual-boot XP also has to use the ancient soundcard instead of the superior onboard sound chip. And one more thing, I haven't tested internet connection (via dialup or broadband), my Lexmark printer, Firewire (detected) yet (in case you're wondering).

Strange, there doesnt seem to be any kind of MD5 associated with this torrent. Normally its in the info or the torrent itself. Does any one have an MD5 for a WORKING .iso they made from this?

look, I just downloaded this torrent. Downloaded SAME patched distro about a month ago.
The MD5's are different. Could that it just downloaded wrong, but would be first time ever.
bittorrent has build in error checking to avoid corrupted downloads.
I tried to install the first torrent i downloaded -no dice.
So maybe this one is the real deal.
But something smells bad. Looking at this torrent on TPB, there are some posts recently saying this torrent is fake -assumed they were just morons
