A downloads is the number of how many times the torrent has been downloaded according to its tracker record
A seeder is a peer that has a complete copy of the torrent and still offers it for upload. The more seeders there are, the better the chances are for completion of the file
A leech is usually a peer who has a negative effect on the swarm by having a very poor share ratio - in other words, downloading much more than they upload. Most leeches are users on asymmetric internet connections who do not leave their BitTorrent client open to seed the file after their download has completed. However, some leeches intentionally avoid uploading by using modified clients or excessively limiting their upload speed. The term leech, however, can be used simply to describe a peer - or any client that does not have 100% of the data
A peer is one instance of a BitTorrent client running on a computer on the Internet that other clients connect to and transfer data. Usually a peer does not have the complete file, but only parts of it, however, peer can be used to refer to any participant in the swarm (in this case, also known as a client). Note that the colloquial definition of peer is anybody, leech or seed, involved in a torrent
A health (or avaiability) the number of full copies of the file available to the client. Each seeder adds 1.0 to this number, as they have one complete copy of the file. A connected peer with a fraction of the file available adds that fraction to the availability, if no other peer has this part of the file. (ie. a peer with 65.3% of the file downloaded increases the availability by 0.653, when two peers who both have the same 50% of the file downloaded and there is one seeder the availability is 1.5)

Ok guys, her's how you can fix your problem with Maya 6.5,Maya 7.0, and Autodesk Maya 8.I was just like you guys, had problems with maya and have been trying to fix mine for almost 2 years but there wasn't anyway that i could solve the problem. This morning I got up and fixed my autodesk maya 8. and I was so happy that i was and cheerful that i thought i would get a heart attack and never be able to use maya again. so anyways. here how you do it.First, got to Start -->All Programs-->Alias-->Common Utilities-->FlexLM License Utilities.Click System Settings and look on the bottom where it says Ethernet Address. "This is where all you guys have problem with."If your Ethernet Address is all Zero's like 000000000000, means you don't have Ethernet Adapter Card in your (CPU) in another word, your System.Also some Pleople have f f f f f f f f for their Ethernet address, which i had it too. This also means you don't have Ethernet Adapter Card.Ethernet Adapter Card is just like your modem, like a phone plug but the size is bigger and alittle wider than the phone plug.To find out if you have one in your computer, check the back of your computer where you plug the wires, if you see that plug looks like the phone plug, then you have it, but if you don't see it, then you need to buy one and open your CPU Cover and plug it in one of the empty slots where all over cards are. and you're done. but before you plug the Ethernet Card, "make sure the computer is off."You can buy Ethernet Adapter Card in stores, I don't think it's expensive. I got mine from my dad's computer which he didn't even need it. "if you have some computers at home, check if there is one in it, and take it out and put it in your computer and you're done."So now after your'e done, Start your computer and go back to FlexLM License Utilites and then System Settings.Now your Ethernet Address should be changed to some other numbers. this isn't right, i got that all complete but everytime i go to run the program, it says fatal error. attempting to save in C:\DOCUM etc.. .20060912.1759.ma ANyone know hwo to fix that?

IN FACT, YOU WON'T EVEN NEED TO OPEN MAYA UNTIL YOU FINISH THESE STEPS!!!------------------Ok... if none of these suggestions didn't work... then pay attention:None of the above things worked for me becuase I was using an Airport connection instead of an ethernet connection. No, you cannot just use the Airport Address is System Prefs becuase you'll get an error message. Okay... here are the steps:1.) We are assuming that you have the keygen and the Maya 8 Unlimited program installed... go to step 22.) Congrats... you made it... open up Terminal (just go to the spotlight thingy and type in "Terminal"... Good job...)3.) (You must be an administrator of your mac to do the following!!!) enter this into the terminal EXACTLYL: /usr/aw/COM/bin/lmhostid4.) If you can read English, our friendly little command will display the REAL host address in the terminal5.) Okay, jump over to your windows machine and put the keygen and the aw.dat file anywhere you want... (yep, that's right... it doesn't really matter... I chose the desktop)6.) Open up aw.dat in WordPad and where it says YOUR_HOST or something like it... type the host address that you got from your Mac's Terminal EXACTLY like it is in the place of the YOUR_HOST thingy...7.) Save the dat file and "x" out of WordPad. Then, drag the aw.dat file over the keygen program. A black command box should pop up and disappear rather quickly.8.) Now, hop over to your mac and hit Shift+Apple+G and type in the box: "/var/flexlm/" (WITHOUT THE QUOTES!!!) this will open a folder... duh... now drag the aw.dat file into the flexlm file that you just opened on your mac9.) I've downloaded Maya 8.0 and ive gotten it installed and ive gotten pass the activation key part, but it continues to ask me to register it online...what do i do? do i register online or are they for sure going to trace this unbought version....what do i do? is there a way to bypass that and i still cant find a keygen for it.
Installed this with no problems, and activation instructions are included and worked fine for me... i use a wifi card for my connection and had to be connected in order for the "YOUR_HOST" values to show up. It did take a few tries for the aw.dat to work, but that was just because the text editor formats it differently, so just be sure not change the formatting or remove any spaces or anything. I was still a little paranoid considering those flex drivers run all the time and maya adds an exception to windows firewall....

p-kidthat happened to me with Maya 7...there was no such directory as C:/FlexLM so what I did was create one, and put my aw.dat file in there. It worked fine.My problem is this...I now have Maya 8...but the Maya 7 keygen doesnt work for this. where do I get the Maya 8 keygen and aw.dat file?CHeers,Mio
