Just make sure to copy the contents of the Patch folder into the installation directory -- usually C:\Program Files\IVT Corporation\BlueSoleil and run patch.exe from inside the install directory. It changes things in some files...and you're good and running without the 5MB limitation.

WARNING!! I installed this file on two computers - one laptop not connected to the net and one desktop connected to the net. WARNING!! ALL of my network connections ON BOTH COMPUTERS were deleted!!! Big pain in the arse. Some of them were not mine. All of my system checkpoints were deleted - only the 'Blue soleil installation' checkpoint remained and that checkpoint DIDN"T WORK! My desktop computer also gave a parsing error on one of the installed dlls' on start up. WARNING!!! My laptop computer built in hardware was DISINSTALLED, yet device manager said it wasn't. It was a real pig to get the system to recognize the problem and to reinstall the bluetooth device. WARNING!! My strong advice is to go and look for another file. This one is ####ing bad news - doing a virus scan on my systems now. WARNING!! Don't say you haven't been warned. Install this file at your own risk!

what am i doing wrong?!?!?! just cant to seem to get patch to work. copied patch folder into the program files as suggested and then ran it, restarted but still have the 5mb limitation. Any help gratefully received!

Those that cannot get it to work, I think that's because some of the unpatched BS processes are still running. Use task manager to close bluesoleilcs.exe, bshelpcs.exe, bttray.exe, and btwdns.exe. I'm not sure that all those are necessary but it's better to be sure. Run the patch, then start bttray.exe or restart your computer.

Hey, folks, it works very nicely for me but could you answer me something? If I'm trying to transfer a bigger file, it fails.. or maybe the problem is only in my connection? And just something that really bugs me, is how could I remove that Bluetooth Places folder from my desktop, does anyone now? It doesn't let me simply move it.. Thanks, anyways ^^

I was having trouble getting the patch to work until I slowed down and read all of the instruction given by outsidepitch and placed the CONTENTS of the patch folder in the program folder and ran it and not the patch folder its self. Thanks this is just what I neaded works great.
