Internet MONitor (IMON)

Updating NOD32 virus definitions step by step for novice users:

Method #1: User Name/Password

* Search for a User Name/Password on your own...
* Launch "NOD32 Control Center", Select the UPDATE tab then press SETUP
* Copy & Paste the user name & password, Then confirm changes by pressing OK
* Click UPDATE NOW
* When the account expires, Repeat the previous steps.

Method #2: Third-Party Update Server List

Or any other ones that you come to trust

Add the URL to SERVERS in the Location area at the "Setup of Atomatic Update" panel and select it as the desired server. No User Name/Password are required for this method

Also note that Updating NOD32 virus definitions the traditional way still operational even if you have opted for method #2, Just reset the desired server back to the default ones.

Method #1 is the most favorable and the one that i advice you to follow. Oh and by the way the source of the Setup.exe file is the ESET official site.

Also note that not only virus definitions are updateable through the NOD32 update module but also the application new builds, engine and different components are also upgradable through the same update component... In other words you can get new versions through it the same way you do the virus definitions.

Updating your NOD32 virus definitions once or twice a month will suffice, There is no good reason for updating your NOD32's virus definitions constantly!
