I finally managed to install it. Just extract all the files to a folder named Adobe InDesign CS3 and install from there.

Sucks - whoever cracked it replaced the splash pic with one of his own godawful advertisements. I don't want to see that everytime I need to use indesign. Stay away from this shit.

1. If InDesign is running, close it. NOW! Make a backup copy of InDesign.exe. 2. Run ResHack(freeware utitlity) , the click File > Open . Select InDesign.exe located under the C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe InDesign CS3 folder. 3. Once the file is opened, go to 578 > 295 > 1033. That 1033 (which presents you with something like 000EE028 89 50 4E 47 0D 0A 1A 0A 00 00 00 0D 49 48 44 52 this is called hex strings) is the actual .png file used when your InDesign loads. 4. How to make the strings readable (and editable)? Select the 1033, then click on Action > "Save Resource as Binary files" on the main menu. Save it to any location of your preference, BUT make sure the extension is .png so that you can read it. 5. In ResHack , select 578 > 294 > 1033 (the substituted graffiti file), and then right click on it. Choose "Replace Resource", and subsequently click on "Open file with new resource". Choose your .png file you saved previously and you now have the original InDesign file, then when asked for information, just include the following" Type : 578 Name : 294 Language : 1033 {/xtypo_info}

First of all, this thing works. And yes, this graffiti is a huge problem, so much so that I would have uninstalled it if it were not for this anonymous poster to write up precisely what's to be done to restore it back to the original picture. Precise instructions on what to do. Absolutely awesome!

i have downloaded many of these types of programs with the graffiti on the splash page, who ever created them is an idiot, it makes the craked program look very pirated, one tip is to download a trial off the adobe website, then use the crack, works perfect everytime. thanks

The installation worked well, but could anyone explain which serial number is required to by-pass the 30-day trial period? Do we have to use KeyGen, where is it and which numbers are we to feed it?

I too have the graffiti problem but mine seems to be in a different location. The 294 and 295 files are the same OEM InDesign splash. Can't seem to locate the bogus red animal one to replace it. Any ideas?

U DOUCHEBAG FUCKS OWE ME AN EXPLANATION AS TO HOW TO FIX THE INSTALLER ASKING FOR THE ORIGINAL DISK!!! I'VE TRIED EVERYTHING!!1!1 BUT IT WOULD STILL POP UP WHEN I EITHER MOUNT THE FUCKIN FILE OR EXTRACT THE DAMN THING TO A FOLDER!!!
