Cubase SX3 takes music production to a new level by adding more than
70 new features including powerful Audio Warp Realtime Timestretching,
an intuitive Play Order Track, convenient Inplace Editing and many new
     editing functions.

For the first time, a native music production system combines full
-featured audio and MIDI recording and editing, virtual instruments
and powerful audio mixing with the added flexibility of loop- and
pattern-based arranging and mixing. Cubase SX3 supports Windows XP and
Mac OSX and works with a multitude of audio interfaces. Add to that
the seamless integration of external audio and MIDI hardware, and
Cubase SX3 redefines music production technology.

Top-10 new features of Cubase SX3

Audio Warp: Realtime Time Stretching and Pitch Shifting offer
extensive new audio editing and processing capabilities, including
ACID® File support: loops automatically adopt a project’s tempo; audio
files can follow tempo changes in realtime.

Intuitive Play Order Track for pattern-based arranging adds a new
level of creative music editing. Divide your song into sections, and
then re-arrange it on the fly. Compare alternative versions of your
song and then convert them back into a linear form for mixdown and
     mastering.

New Inplace Editor supports ultra-fast direct MIDI event editing from
within the project page. Edit MIDI events in context with audio or
     video.

New MIDI Device Maps / Panels support direct access to external MIDI
hardware with user-definable graphic editing panels. Import VST Mixer
Maps or create your own editing panels, even for the Track Inspector
     or the mixer’s channel strip.

User-definable Workspaces (window layouts) help organizing your
desktop. Create and save a separate workspace for each step of the
production process. Switch Workspaces on the fly, as if working on
     multiple computers or monitors.

Studio Connections “Total Recall” support (optional integration of
Yamaha’s Studio Manager 2). The first step into a new dimension of
software/hardware integration. This modular editing system builds a
powerful bridge between the virtual and physical studio. Opening a
project can recall an entire studio setup within seconds.

External FX Plugins allow for direct integration of external hardware
effects processors into the VST audio mixer. Use your favorite
outboard gear just like plugins – including automatic delay
     compensation.

Extended Freeze function for virtual instruments and audio tracks with
added flexibility and improved performance. Freeze virtual instruments
with or without insert effects. Then automatically unload the
instrument to free up RAM. Freeze audio tracks with insert effects to
free up even more CPU performance.

New part-based Volume Envelopes for direct control of dynamics. Fix
level problems on the fly without wasting automation tracks. Then move
     events with their volume envelopes.

User-definable Color Coding for tracks and VST mixer channels provides
more clarity and better orientation – especially in complex projects.

     Special note :

     H2O does it again.........!!!

Although everybody thought that Syncrosoft and Steinberg had found the
     ultimate protection, we prove otherwise.

We admit that it's getting harder and harder to do and this one may
possibly be the last one we do.

Due to the complex nature of the protection we thought of approaching
     it from another direction.

The Emulation is now done on driver-level, which means that the Emu
essentially mimics a dongle, look in the License Control Center to
view the applications the Emu supports. By writing the Emu at driver
-level we probably went beyond cracking an application. The amount of
effort invested in this project is staggering , estimated at over 1500
manhours during cracking, developing & testing, and probably will
     never be done again.

We hope u enjoy this release and the motto "if u use it alot then buy
     it!" applies

     PS1

     Note to protection coders :

Unbelievable way you transform an application. We estimate that
between 30% & 40% of the application are wrapped in the script
protection. Protection is one thing but this surely effects an
application performance. You probably could get a performance gain of
     50% without the protection!!

Think about this : Once broken, the protection is , what ????

     PS2

Currently the Emu doesn't support CuBaseSX 1, the effort to support it
being too high, besides the older Emu's work perfectly for that
(ARCTIC/ZONE). For more info, check the Readme on the Emu.

     PS3

To any 'l33t crackz0rs' attempting to remove the H2O-splash, or the
trayicon; perhaps, a little respect to this effort and don't do that,
     also it may affect operation....

To end-users, if you don't see the H2O-splash and trayicon, expect
problems... We will not take blame for work that has been tampered
     with...:-)

@sousys: First, thank you for upload! Then: "There is no need for uninstalling anything, except maybe removing the old dongle-dlls." - by that, you mean *only* the "dongle.dll", one of the 3 files which came in the non-working fake SX3 "crack" - called "CUBASE SX 3 (dongle erased CRACK) PARADOX" that appeared October 2004? I did not try to install that crack, since I knew it was fake, but I still have the .rar in My Documents, that's why I know which files it contained. I take it, Sousys, that you have not tried to install SX3 before (with the fake crack?) It is very nice to hear that the old working SX2 H2O releases is working perfectly along with the new SX3 one. Now, could anyone - who *did* install the old SX3 with the fake crack - confirm that it's only the "dongle.dll" that needs to be (a) Unregistered, with "regsvr32 /u /s "C:WINDOWSsystem32dongle.dll" and (b) Deleted from the "C:WINDOWSsystem32" folder?

I can't get this to install the h20 driver, when the setup goes to install it, I get a CLED error message? a few others mentioned this problem also maybe someone has a solution (Please) I get the same prob when installing the h20 driver from the halion release also! so I know its not a corrupt file or anything like that! PLZZZ help!

  • sousys at 2005-06-14 10:15:00

try removing all DLLs associated with syncrosoft copyprotection from previous installations. that should solve the problem

  • electronic-artwork at 2005-06-14 15:30:00

Seems to be cool! But i when i want to start setup.exe nothing happend... in taskmanager i see that drwatsn32 starts shortly and later both files were stopped. what s there the problem? i have xp with sp2 and an active virusscanner. please help me.

  • clokkevi at 2005-06-14 17:17:00

hmm.. maybe try to temporarily turn of SP2 firewall and disable antivirus? If your antivirus is set to automatically stop processes and delete files, and it's using "heuristic algorithms" like NAV 2003/2004/2005 (and NOD32, as mentioned by DexCC) - your PC will behave as you described. Before you enable the antivirus again, you'll need to "tell it" that EMU.dll is not malicious.. this is done differently in every AV program..

  • clokkevi at 2005-06-14 22:07:00

OK.. now, I have checked what's in the crack, and there is, in addition to "EMU.dll", also the "CLEDX" driver; consisting of "cledx.sys", "cledx.inf" and "cledx.exe". The executable, "cledx.exe" is compressed with the "FSG" ("Fast, Small, Good") packer. Since 100's of worms etc. are also compressed with FSG, many antivirus packages will probably delete the whole "cledx.exe" when installing... So, if you get errors, "CLEDX errors", etc, disable your antivirus program, or even better, turn off the "Heuristic algorithm" option, a.k.a. "Bloodhound" in Symantec NAV 2003, 2004, 2005... Then, after installing, set it up to not scan "cledx.exe".

  • clokkevi at 2005-06-14 22:45:00

Btw: The "trueemu.exe" which is a Wise installer containing EMU.dll, cledx.sys, cledx.inf, cledx.exe, etc., also contains "proccheck.exe" - and that's an executable which is compressed with the "UPX packer". Again, many worms etc. are packed with this UPX packer", so antivirus programs will probably either block or automatically delete (depending on it's settings) this executable, too, just as with "cledx.exe" (read previous post). So, do the same "trick" as you did with "cledx.exe"

  • clokkevi at 2005-06-14 23:54:00

Btw2: At the end of the installation, the "trueemu.exe" will be installled; "H2O Syncrosoft TruEmu v4.0". It contains 4 important files, all will be copied to the %SYNSODIR% folder. I don't know what it's real name is yet - I haven't installed it yet, but it looks like "SYNcroSOft DIRectory".. doesn't it..?!. The files are: (File 1) "cledx.sys" is a service, the CLEDXSERVICE, and if you look at "Services" under "Administrative Tools", you'll have a new service called "Team H2O CLEDX service". (File 2) "cledx.exe" (the FSG-packed antivirus-awakening one) is used to get the tray icon, from which you can Enable/Disable the emulator and setup which applications the emulator should support (License setup). There will be added a reference to "cledx.exe" in the Windows Registry to the [HKLMSOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRun] key, to make sure it always start when Windows start. Some adware-protections, like Ad-aware / Ad-watch from Lavasoft will block all changes of this key, you must make sure that this is not happening. (Or Ad-watch removing the reference afterwards) (File 3) "emu.dll" - library for "cledx.exe", contains icons and all other dll stuff. (File 4) "emu.ini" - a text-file that is modified by the "License setup", e.g. "HALion=1" means the dongle emulation is turned ON for HALion, "Nuendo=0" means that dongle emulation is turned OFF for Nuendo. ...................There's also a 5th file, "readme.html", (+ it's 4 gif/jpg graphics files) - and a 6th file, "Uninst.exe" for uninstalling the SyncroSoft Emu, should you need to do that.

  • djjimmyswift at 2005-06-15 01:36:00

Thanks so much for the help I finally got it to work... Here's what I did [maybe to help others] removed h20emu emulator, & syncrosoft license panel to start from scratch Searched windows for files: "Steinberg" "cubase" "synso" "syncro" after files on system were found I deleted all files associated with cubase (including prefetch files) turned off nod32 & nod32 service kernel, disabled firewall (off course turn off modem to be safe) I installed the h20 halion release with the dongle emulator. I still received the CLED error, but continued the install. I made sure that nod32 was turned off for the reboot. after reboot the dongle emulator loaded fine (thank god! & h20) then I installed h20's release of cubase3. & everything is fine. Nod 32 does detect the emu as a crypt32 virus but it is not a virus. the file can be removed from scanning with a few tweaks. THx so much for everyones help. Hopefully this can help someone else.

  • qwpoiu at 2005-06-15 21:21:00

To people downloading this with cracked h2O version on their system with plugins/vsts. --- It probably won't work, i've tried my best to get it working, in the directory it installs two start files named; Cubase sx3.exe -3.0.1.514 Cubasesx3.exe - 3.0.2.623 h2O link runs 'Cubasesx3.exe' and reaches the startup screen and ends up going up to 'time stretch' and closing. I am not using any anti-virus, and have no viruses on my computer. I have many vsts on my computer and tried running sx3 with and without sx2 h2O installed, but nothing differes. I am going to download delirium version, as it seems to be a better chance of actually working, since it contains updates etc. I have tried running the other file "Cubase sx3.exe" but there are so many bugs its impossible to make a 20 secound track letalone a song. For one, getting a vst to work is such a big hassle, two, the program closes all the time and obviousely this is not any solution at all. I hope someone can inform me on what to do, i have tried everything. and yes, i did remove everything from registry once i removed sx2 and installed sx3. This really has confused me, especially considering it's H2O. Anyway, cya.

  • qwpoiu at 2005-06-16 01:13:00

Sorry about double post, wasn't intentional. I'd like to say that if you have had sx2 on your system with VST's it possibly might not work. But i've checked it on my other computer and it works flawlessley, so im going to format this computer ( fast one ) and only install music stuff on it without internet.

  • sousys at 2005-06-16 10:44:00

That is just not true.. just because you have problems , doesnt me others will.. there is always a risk of things not working properly. There is NO REASOn why it shouldnt work to install the right along your older SX2 installation, aslong as its a proper h2O release that uses the same dongle emu. The installation was flawless for me. and i van run my old sx2 and sx3 at the same time if i want. All the installed plugins i used in sx2 showed up in sx3 without me having to do anything and all my projects open and run as if nothing had happened.

  • d:vice at 2005-06-24 17:30:00

The same situation is happening with Nuendo 3 v3.0.2.623-H2O I have installed the mentioned version of the cracked program on two similar computers (same MB, same CPU, different amounts of RAM and mostly same software installed) and had different results in each. Computer #1 (XP Pro SP2) accepted the install 100% without a glitch. Computer #2 (XP Pro SP1) accepted install although with a different procedure on the «Found New Hardware Wizard». Instalation finished without any problems, reboot, start program and crash during logon, as described by other users. Note: different install procedure was due to SP1. Removed Nuendo 3 and dongle emu and installed SP2 with full Service Packs and security updates. Repeated install. Install went smooth as in computer #1. Reboot. Crash during logon (same moment). Reboot. Message «SRV #001 - CLED Error» During a CLED Error the Taskbar is locked. After one day of using Nuendo 3 in computer #1 i had the CLED Error message once. After a reboot the error message never came back and Nuendo 3 still works. Computer #1 has Norton Anti Virus 2004, BlackIce FireWall, Adaware SE, all running. No problems. Nuendo 3 H2O works. Computer #2 does NOT have any security programs (i do not use it on the web) and i keep getting CLED Errors and Nuendo Logon crashes in it. Main difference between both: the soundcard, and "2 has much less software installed. Audio software is installed exactly the same way in both #1 and #2. If something interesting happens i'll let you know. Have been testing for only 24 hours.

Does anyone know the existence of a trueemu for OSX users ??

  • dontspamme at 2005-06-26 03:13:00

Installation OK with a couple error messages. Starting Cubasesx3.exe results in this: The CUBASESX3.EXE file is linked to missing export SHELL32.DLL:SHGetFolderPathA - then error message: A device connected to the system is not functioning. Is this XP only? I'm running 98. Thanks.

  • Tech-Noir at 2005-06-26 12:56:00

Peppeholm65: I had the same problem with SX2 when I installed it once. Loading windows showed up, but nothing loaded, and after a few seconds the program closed itself. The solution for me (WinXP SP2) was to go to My Computer -> Properties -> Advanced -> Performance tab -> Disable Data-Execution protection (or Add Cubase .exe file to the exceptions list if you still want the protection active). Hope this will solve it.

  • slocombe at 2005-06-26 17:19:00

Instead of the "New Hardware Found" thing, I'm getting a crash when cledx.exe tries to load -- "Application Error" -- access violation at an address that could not be written. This is XP/SP2. Looking with the VS debugger, I see that it's happening inside emu.dll as Windows tries to load it, but since H2O does not distribute their sources or any symbols (.pdb), I only get the pure x86 code, which is much harder to trace.
