my man ace rizzle needs to retire. or maybe he just needs to break away from el-p. he needs to stop doin' posse tracks because nobody in his camp (def jux) are on his level. i wish he would go back to appleseed, music for earthworms, labor days, and daylight ep, style. his new stuff is sounding like he is just jabbering about as he scans a thesaurus or something. peace

oh yea, and thanks for the upload. i am sure Ian (aesop rock) would appreciate you giving his material away that he is already having hard enough time selling the crap. no wonder his stuff has fallen off, kids like you force everything he does to be FREEstyle! some things should remain sacred, and independant hip hop is definately one of them. especially rare breeds like aesop rock. still peace

i'ma check this shit, if its listenable

  • Tango44 at 2007-09-20 21:26:00

To all the guys saying not to steal this shit- Aesop just sold out to MTV so hes gonna be making plenty of money along with plenty of shitty music coming here soon. I would stop worrying about his financial standings and worry more about how MTV will corrupt his music.

  • bleunt at 2007-10-17 15:08:00

Oh shut the F up, Aesop didnt sell out. You should look up what "selling out" really means. Aesop never changed, this album is still him. It's not more or less pop than he's ever been. Just being on MTV isnt selling out. However, I will buy stuff from him When He Comes Here. And I will purchase a ticket to see him. But I see nothing wrong in artists making a living on touring and selling merch.

  • defe at 2007-10-18 21:56:00

sigh, buying his record isn't really gonna change his financial status. By buying his records you are only increasing the money in the producers and record companies pockets not the artists. As what was said already, if you really want to support him go see him live buy a shirt or some shit, that is how artists make their money. Also in addition to that you are right being on MTV does not automatically count the artist as a sell out, until the record companies see that he is getting extremely popular and start to persuade him to change his style of music for extra cash, now that would put him under the category of a sell out.

Hah, you guys saying you should/shouldn't download certain files to be "nice" to "poor artists." Don't act all high and mighty; piracy is piracy. Buying one of his cds is the same as buying any dvd or anything else; the money is mostly just pumped into some producer's pockets. Think of all the people who may have never heard of him so they get this as a risk-free sample and for all YOU know will go and buy the cd. douchebags.
