B'Day is the second studio album from singer Beyonce Knowles. The album will be released September 4, 2006 [also Beyoncé's twenty-fifth birthday, the reason why the album was named so]. The album is the follow-up to Dangerously in Love. This is Beyonce's first album released with Sony Urban Music under Columbia Records and Music World Music. Production on the album includes Rodney Jerkins, Rich Harrison, The Neptunes and Swizz Beatz. T.I. also confirmed working on B'Day. Tracks include collaborations with T.I. and Ne-Yo didn't make the album..
According to Beyonce, after wrapping up her role on the upcoming Dreamgirls, she went into the studio without telling anyone but her producers [not even her parents or former Destiny's Child members Kelly and Michelle]. Beyonce left her vacation early to record the album in 2 weeks, recording three songs a day, and submitted it to the record label to their surprise. She stated on MTV's Total Request Live that she worked with her all-star team of producers on this record. Beyonce also said that some American music stores will have B'Day for sale on September 4, 2006.
The first released single of the upcoming album is Deja Vu which is currently climbing the world charts. In the US, Deja Vu has become Beyonce's 7th Top 5 hit. It topped the UK Singles Chart.
The second single is Ring the Alarm and was leaked on the internet August 8th 2006, A video for Ring the Alarm was released August 16th 2006 on Yahoo.com.
