De vrolijke Kim (Felicity Jones) lijkt een heel gewoon meisje, maar is wel degelijk skateboard kampioene. Vanwege familieomstandigheden moet ze haar
sportcarrière inwisselen voor een saai baantje en de zorg voor haar vader. Ze droomt ervan iets nieuws en spannends te gaan doen en besluit een cursus
te volgen om hostess te worden. Het avontuur lacht haar toe als ze de kans krijgt om in een prachtig chalet in de Alpen te gaan werken. In haar vrije uren leert Kim snowboarden, ze blijkt er veel talent voor te hebben. Sportief als ze is wil Kim meedoen aan de competitie aan het eind van het seizoen. Ze maakt een goede kans om te gaan winnen met haar spectaculaire boardmoves en het prijzengeld is te mooi om waar te zijn. Maar dan wordt ze stapelverliefd wordt Jonny (Ed Westwick), de zoon van haar baas. Dat maakt het er niet makkelijker op. Hij is mooi, steenrijk. en verloofd.
