Jimi Hendrix may be dead, his music is alive and there are many people who can testify to his genius. This episode of Classic Albums tells based on testimonies, musical reconstructions and archive footage how Electric Ladyland, the legendary double LP of Jimi Hendrix, was created in 1968.
Have their say including Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell of The Jimy Hendrix Experience, other musicians like Steve Winwood and Dave Mason, manager Chas Chandler and engineer Eddie Kramer music. They emphasize what a great guitarist Jimi Hendrix was well and show that by fragments from the original multitrack tapes of the LP to isolate and analyze.
They also tell how the studio could build a great atmosphere and the best of himself and his fellow musicians managed to get. In addition, the documentary also include archive recordings of songs like All Along the Watchtower, Still Raining Still Dreaming, Gypsy Eyes, Crosstown Traffic, Voodoo Chile and House Burning Down.
