Somewhere between the white beaches of Malibu Beach, the elegant Beverly Hills and Disneyland every day is a brutal struggle for survival instead - and the state is watching. Director Stacy Peralta and skate legend grew up in a problem area of LA. He shows in striking pictures, like the conflict between the gangs escalated gradually and how both gangs still make the center of the city a war zone.
