Comments (3): Just a note, again not a complaint, just for others downloading (and maybe point me in right direction if it is a codec issue) I found the LC recon to be highly over exposed and difficult to watch. Not an issue though really, I'll order the recon from the dub site. • Great to see all the recon versions. Not a complaint, but be aware if downloading that some episodes are missing left track audio (so you know it's not a fault with your player). Same with no 27 (The war machines)had all left track audio missing. Apart from that, excellent and I am glad the poster has done them all. I'm uploading all of Doctor Who, in order. Since, roughly, the beginning of the Tom Baker era the torrents have been marked 'TRBLE' to help search them. As soon as someone else is seeding the current disc I do the next one.
If there is an official BBC DVD then that's what you get, if there isn't then it's my own DVD. These are sometimes taken from official BBC VHS releases, sometimes encoded from AVI's. As far as I remember all of the non-DVD Davison ones are AVI. I always list the source, assuming I can remember what it was (most of these I made years ago). My menu's are fairly simple affairs, partly because it was the best I could do at the time, partly because I can't stand having to sit through 5 minutes of garbage to get to the main menu (as with the BBC releases!). When a previously uploaded VHS or AVI disc is released on DVD by the BBC I'll do an updated version. These will have an 'a' after the number (as in '027a - The War Machines). All of my discs are PAL.
When I started and wrote the original 'Read Me' file, I said that this was going to take a couple of years. I just looked back, and I started at 'An Unearthly Child' in June 2007. This was probably a bit optimistic! At the current rate, I should catch up with the modern era towards the end of 2010 (which should still be Matt Smith, but who knows?)
This is the 25th Anniversary version released on DVD in 2008. Disc 1 is the original TV version, and Disc 2 is the remastered version. Although I've got the original DVD release and a VHS version as well, I don't think there's much point in uploading them as this set pretty much covers it.
