It was developed and published by id Software, and was released on August 3, 2004. Doom 3, despite its name, is not a direct continuation of the original Doom series storyline, but rather a re imagining of the first game in the series, with the addition of a completely new game engine and graphics. Set in the year 2145 in a fictional Union Aerospace Corporation (UAC) research center on Mars, Doom 3 has the player take control of an anonymous marine as he fights to survive a mysterious invasion of inter-dimensional demons. In the process, the marine learns more about the nature of the shadowy research being conducted within the massive base and its main instigator, Dr. Malcolm Betruger. Doom 3 was developed for Windows and ported to Linux in 2004; seven months later, it was also released for Mac OS X (ported by Aspyr) and Xbox (co-developed by Vicarious Visions). The Xbox version is graphically similar to the original, although less detailed. It also features an additional two-player online co-operation mode. An expansion, Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil, developed by Nerve Software and co-developed by id Software, was released on April 4, 2005. The Xbox version of Doom 3 is an Xbox 360-compatible title, and the Xbox version of Resurrection of Evil is also backwards compatible as of July 2007. A Doom movie, loosely based on the franchise, was released roughly six months later on October 21, 2005. This Mod-Crack expansion has been released to deal with the failings of the earlier Doom 3 Ultimate Coop Mod (http://thepiratebay.org/tor/ 3748246/Doom_3_Ultimate_Coop) I released. This Mod-Crack creates a pre-modded and cracked dedicated server for the expansion, allowing up to four players to play through the Resurrection of Evil campaign or the the main PC campaign on varying difficulties through an internet or LAN configuration, without needing to purchase Doom III. The Original Coop Mod-Crack allowed up to four players to go through the main PC campaign on varying difficulties through an internet or LAN configuration, without needing to purchase Doom III. It also provided the tools to play the expansion but without the instructions needed by the less than computer literate within the scene. This updated Crack-Mod is intended to replace its predocessor. //PLEASE NOTE\ Please Note The Following: .I. You'll now have a list of options, find the one that says "Hide extensions for known file types". By default this is always on. Turn it off. Alternatively you can simply select Win RaR as the default program to run .pk4 files (i.e. double click on the file and when it asks what to run it in double click on the Win RAR icon). (9.) Go to your game directory and Run (either directly or by changing the file extensions temporarily [you must change them back to .pk4 when you're done]) every file which ends in a .pk4 extension (they are located in the Base and OpenCoop folders) and look for files named mainmenu (commonly found under the Guis directory) and delete them. To the best of my knowledge there should be a mainmenu file in oc_pak02.pk4, and oc_pak03.pk4 as well as pak005.pk4, pak006.pk4, pak007.pk4, and pak008.pk4. (10.) To play through the main campaign double click on the OpenCoop icon either located on your desktop or in your start menu, and create or join a server under the multiplayer tab in the bottom right hand corner. To Play through the Resurection of Evil expansion campaign doubble click on the RoE Coop DED Server shortcut (which is now on your desktop and automaticaly set to LAN) and wait for it to load (when text stops scrolling). Now double click on the RoE Coop Client shortcut (which isnow on your desktop) and join the server you just created under the multiplayer tab in the bottom right hand corner(The servers default name is 'ZKZ's Doom 3 ROE OC DED'. Note: For convenience sake I have included a copy of WinRAR (which is in the Doom 3 OpenCoop Mod on the Iso) which auto installs, cracks itself (Thanks to whoever originally seeded it) and works in all versions of Windows post 98*. This program is required to use the alternative method of installation. The steps for its installation are listed below: (1.) Run the WinRAR (built in crack).exe program pick a directory and Click through the installation instructions. //KNOWN PROBLEMS\ (1.) The Resurection of Evil coop mod is still in beta and while it works on all levels it is missing several vital plot driven cinematics. This release will be updated when open coop finishes it's work on the Doom 3 ROE mod to include said cinematics. (2.) The keys included in this mod have alread been blacklisted and therefore to play online you must either create an artificial LAN with a program like Hamachi or find a find a working key (steal it from a friend, the store you visit, an up to date [i.e not backlisted] keygen) and type it into the doomkey and xpkey documents located (DEFAULT) in the 'C:Program FilesDOOM 3base' directory. //IN THE PIPELINE\ Half Life 2 Coop - Synergy Game - Complete Crack - Complete NFO - Pending Mod - Pending Test - Complete - Loads of Fun I have decided to withhold this release until the Synergy mod team completes its work on 2.5 providing levels up until the coast as well as multipassenger veichles.
