FS2004 - Luke's Favorite Freeware - Update (5 more planes)
A downloads is the number of how many times the torrent has been downloaded according to its tracker record
A seeder is a peer that has a complete copy of the torrent and still offers it for upload. The more seeders there are, the better the chances are for completion of the file
A leech is usually a peer who has a negative effect on the swarm by having a very poor share ratio - in other words, downloading much more than they upload. Most leeches are users on asymmetric internet connections who do not leave their BitTorrent client open to seed the file after their download has completed. However, some leeches intentionally avoid uploading by using modified clients or excessively limiting their upload speed. The term leech, however, can be used simply to describe a peer - or any client that does not have 100% of the data
A peer is one instance of a BitTorrent client running on a computer on the Internet that other clients connect to and transfer data. Usually a peer does not have the complete file, but only parts of it, however, peer can be used to refer to any participant in the swarm (in this case, also known as a client). Note that the colloquial definition of peer is anybody, leech or seed, involved in a torrent
A health (or avaiability) the number of full copies of the file available to the client. Each seeder adds 1.0 to this number, as they have one complete copy of the file. A connected peer with a fraction of the file available adds that fraction to the availability, if no other peer has this part of the file. (ie. a peer with 65.3% of the file downloaded increases the availability by 0.653, when two peers who both have the same 50% of the file downloaded and there is one seeder the availability is 1.5)

Direct HTTP Download - download this torrent as a regular HTTP file using Furk.net servers as an accelerated proxy.
Note: Unlike other torrent indexes we find more trackers for a torrent and put them sorted by seeders into the torrent upon every download. This should improve download speed. Extra trackers marked with '+' sign. If you have problems with this then let us know.
This will install:
Global Flyer
Spruce Goose
Hughes HB1 Racer
B-2 Stealth Bomber
MiG-29 Fulcrum
The B-2 and the Mig29 and the B-2 are both very good, in the same class of many payware planes,
the hugh racer is fine, and fun to fly and not the easiest plane to land, sot the best freeware, but not bad either.
the Spruce Goose is not much actually, but that's the only Spruce Goose I could find.
the Global flyer flies good (for the little I tried) but it has some problem with the eyepoint: you can look sideways only from the virtual cockpit (or using the mini panel)
you can install any of these planes by simply unzipping the file to your main FS2004 directory.
The MIG29 is a very good freeware plane, originally in a lot of liveries and configurations, you get both:
MIG29_60_versions: 10config X 6 Schemes: Way to many variations if you ask me.
MIG29_3_versions: Clean, Armed and Long range in Russian colors: I think that this is actually all you need.
Install only one of them, not both, or you will mess up the user interface (you don't need to anyway:the three versions are included in the 60 versions)

This one is freeware and no one wrote bad comments about it. Maybe I should "forget" to say it's freeware too?
And I did some work on my packages (re-packaged them all the same way, tweaked the user interface and wrote some text files), not simply zip them in a big file.
These planes will not mess up the user interface and are easier to install. and I selected some good freeware in a sea of shit, someone will appreciate that too (but if you have no problem installing, the website download will be faster)
Anyway, you guys with all your bad comment gave me a good idea: I shoud upload my slightly modified-and easier to install planes to some freeware site
Expecially the Centauro, which I pieced together from 3 different models, and the panel upgrade fo the Freccia that used to show the airspeed twice, but no heading
It's not about paying for it or not. I think we all would like nice add-ons for Flight Simulator, freeware or not. Luke, never mind this guy. I like this stuff :o)
thx harold. I knew someone liked it because it is uploading all the time.
I'm going to post better versions of the 2 Italian WWII fighters when I'm done "restoring" them (he he)
The G50 has some small panel problems and the G55 has ... some serious panel problems.
I figured out how to fix the G50, it only needs some fine tuning now, but it's more difficult with the G55: it came without a panel so I used a CFS2 one (the only one I could find) but then the VC gets hidden beneath some "screens", you can't see any instruments, I guess thats because of the panel.cfg file being tuned for CFS2, so I' going to use its gauges section only and replace the rest with some generic WWII fighter panel. I hope it workes because it's a nice plane.
I' also thinking about modifying a fine me-262 (twin jet German WWII fighter) to make it use German WWII metric gauges insted of the default gauges it uses now. Stay tuned.
(I dont get why the hall I can't post longer comments: "database error")
Luke DOES like to talk to himself, hence all the comments, say it in 1 shot, then when someone replies, say something else, not 10 in a row, from yourself. I think your failing to see the point. I didn't say Freeware is shit, I said don't post that shit here. Have a happy day. If I want Freeware, I'll go to avsim.
...and sometimes it does happen that I think something to say right after sending a comment, so I have to send another one. That happens quite often actually, but my (annoying) serial commensts are there because of some technical problem.
You want me to stop posting freeware because you download it @ avsim? What about those who appreciate my compilations? People do download them: The problem with freeware is that sometimes you miss good planes because they are buried under tons of shit, that's why it *is* a good idea to make compilation of good freeware, so people can get the good freeware and skip the crap.
I alreasy said it: the multiple message are due to a technical problem: the bot refuses long messages, I get Database Error, but no error is specified, all I see io a blank page with the only two words "database error"
Sorry about that.
Anyway, my compilations are aimed pricipally to people who wants selected freeware planes, all packaged the same way, super-easy to install, and with the user interface tweaked to show the correct manufacturers, models and versions, which not every aircraft do (even most payware has that problem) .
There are people whio are "afraid" to edit a .cfg file, but still want to see a Mig as manufactured by Mikoyan Gurevich and not Lago, ALPHA or whatever
