squibbles: Go to "My Computer" Go to your hard drive, (C:)? Find the guitar hero folder. Now you will go to the torrent, find the crack the copy it. Go back to the gh folder paste the crack Then a message will aks you if you wanna replace the old file with the new one. Press "yes". Voila!

Sir Maximus you DO have a file that you replace with the crack. Just open the GH-folder and it should be a lot of stuff including a file where you can start the game, about the same size as the crack.

i patched first then copy pasted the crack and I get application error failed to properly initialize properly(0xc000001d) Any advice?

I have an older version of the game, 1.0.6 something... I tried to upgrade with this patch to 1.1 and got a message saying something like: game not found, try to reinstall ..... If you want to upgrade in order to play some new songs this is how you should do: 1. Download the songs from : <a href="/redirect?http://thepiratebay.org/tor/4130986/Guitar_Hero_III_PC_Custom_Pack_(GHI-II-80s-Snakkii)_GENERAL">http://thepiratebay.org/tor/4130986/Guitar_Hero_III_PC_Custom_Pack_(GHI-II-80s-Snakkii)_GENERAL</a> and follow the instruktions. 2. If this patch does not work, simply take the exe crack file from this torrent and copy paste to your GH3 folder. In other words, dont bother to upgrade if it doesn't work the first time. It will work anyway.
