I installed the game fine, but each time I load the game it crashes to Windows. Can anyone help me?

id recommend reading the obsidian and atari tech support wedsites before u download, the game is so full of bug as to be almost unplayable even with the v1.2 patch, alot of people have reached points where they cant get any further and wasted 20 hours(some cant get past first room) or there save game just decides not to work anymore. the game keeps asking me insert the play disc. I have the thing mounted using alcohol 120% but it doesnt seem to be doing the trick. I have tried reinstalling or unmounting and mounting again, even tried burning the image. Suggestions.
