dude how do i get this to work???

  • Rekiller at 2008-06-06 18:21:00

.bin files you can see as virtual cd's so every .bin file is actually a cd. You'll need a program, I use daemon tools to mount the virtual cd's. You can download it at http://www.daemon-tools.cc . Once installed, you mount the first cd and the installion progress starts succes

Same as the other one with more seeds. Doesn't work. Buy the game: it's worth it.

  • crazyiz247 at 2008-08-03 02:13:00

Game loaded fine about 1 1/2 days. use daemon tools lite to load the game. then play. will be back to tell if game works ok

Hey Guys, I recently downloaded KOTOR II and also Daemon Tools. I mounted the .cue file (which is the only one that showed up as mountable) and the installation process began. Shortly a message came up saying "Please inster disc 2 that includes the file data3.cab" What do I do?

  • The_Bookworm at 2008-08-13 10:29:00

Never Mind I found it! Stupid Computer

  • The_Bookworm at 2008-08-13 11:16:00

OK, I've installed the game. I start the game and it says "No Disc Inserted". So I mount CD 1. Game says "Wrong Disc Inserted" Same thing for CD 2, 3 and 4. How do I get the frickin game going?

  • The_Bookworm at 2008-08-20 10:20:00

OK!!! For anyone suffering from the same problems as I was in the future: 1) Use Daemon Tools Lite to mount 'CD 1' 2) Installation process starts. When it says to insert disc 2, mount disc 2 and select that drive. 3) Repeat for disc 3 and 4. 4) Remount CD 1. Open the drive that is CD 1 and go to the folder called 'Crack'. Copy the file there. 5) Go to C;Program Files; Lucasarts; SWKotOR II and paste the file. Computer will ask if you want to replace the existing file. Say 'YES'. W00T!!! Game will now work properly. Thanks to everyone else who has posted useless info, except for Rekiller, who gave the link to Daemon Tools, but otherwise gave sweet F.A. useful info. The Bookworm will return!!!

ok i installed the game fine thanks to bookworm but every time i go to play it i get a windows error saying the game stopped working and it crashes im running on windows vista if anyone can help please do so

  • D-Ritsuki at 2008-09-09 22:27:00

Same problem on Vista. The only way I founded to fix it it's to disable sound on the configuration menu... But I really don't want to play without sound, so if anyone has a solution

  • The_Bookworm at 2008-09-19 10:13:00

OK fellas, I've come across this problem before. Not from personal experience though; I'm on XP. Check out forums on the problem by typing 'KOTOR 2 Vista' or something like that into Google. Some say just keep opening the damned thing over and over, and others say turn the sound off. Also, try and update your video card drivers. Apparently NVidia is the best sound card type for KOTOR 2. The one that REALLY works (supposedly) is: download a new .dll file from this link ********************nt.com/Mss32dll/;6695046;;/fileinfo.html and put it in the KOTOR 2 program file in your c drives as a replacement as the existing one. This has been confirmed by many different forums including the LucasArts Support Forum as seen here: http://forums.lucasarts.com/thread.jspa?threadID=121646&tstart=25 The Bookworm will return!!!

  • The_Bookworm at 2008-09-19 10:17:00

Sorry about the dud link above (the first one). Use the second link and look at the first post and use THAT link! Once again, sorry. The Bookworm will return!!! p.s. I'm really sorry about the end part of my posts but I have a massively theatrical ego. Oh well, we all have our little flaws.

  • KingAdam at 2008-09-25 10:13:00

i can mount the first disk ok, but when it gets to the second i mount it select the data3.cab file but error msg comes up saying: setup could not find file on specified path or disk. Wat do i doo i really want to play this game

  • The_Bookworm at 2008-09-26 09:13:00

Replying to KingAdam: OK Adam, I'm going to assume that you have Daemon Tools Lite. Set the number of devices in Daemon Tools to 4. The drives created should be K, J, L and M Drives (at least they are on my PC). Mount the discs on these drives. Your problem: When you have finished with disk 1, then you need disc 2. When that message comes up, select J drive in the drop box (hopefully the one with disc 2 mounted on it). Don't select any of the files in that drive, just select the drive name itself and click OK. The installation process should begin. After that is finished, follow my instructions from Comment 8 on this page. Have fun!

  • KingAdam at 2008-09-26 21:04:00

  • The_Bookworm at 2008-09-27 12:42:00

KingAdam, are you on XP or Vista?

  • The_Bookworm at 2008-09-27 13:32:00

Also, where did you go and what did you do to do the video patch?

  • ZERO_Akira at 2008-12-14 12:13:00

Mr Bookworm. I have downloaded the DLL from that site, and copied it to the game directory, but the game still won't load. I'm using Vista. Perhaps we're supposed to download and install a patch?

  • TheCapN at 2009-03-19 18:34:00
