I saw it twice in London within the last 10 years, twice in Chicago with the touring cast, and at least 3 times in New York, never heard the original cast, but I heard the closing Broadway cast. I have to agree that the Broadway cast blows the pants off London. And actually in general, my experience with British theatre is that the acting in London tends to be way better than in New York, but you just can't beat Broadway for musicals.
