Comments (16): Figured it out...I am running Vista and had to run VMware "As administrator" and that fixed the problem!!! • Can't open VM...telling me snapshot is read-only...help!!!! Thanks everyone this site rocks!!! • Yea i'm getting the error of 64 bit too. But i am running on a pentium dual core 64-bit! WTF? • So close and yet so far! Installed successfully up to starting the guest OS and bang!, I'm told the guest OS that you kindly uploaded "beasteg" is for 64-bit machines only (or at least created on one). Can we reconfigure our way around this, or am I missing something, or it's just too bad? • UR VM image is in suspended state, and moreover it is created in intel based system...that screws up every thing....unless and untill the install image is edited to work with AMD base, the os cannot ever boot in an AMD setup unless it is cretated and is in unsuspended i.e in power off condition....so no luck for AMD base owners.
