Tips: There are 7 installation steps. On the fourth step "Installation Type" click "Customize" and uncheck everything you can. The "Essentials" is all you need and you can't uncheck it anyway. Double Layer DVD's are 9GB ie: DVD9 Most all retail DVD's, Movies and Games are Double Layer, and have been for well over 2 years. What, have you been under a rock? • 6 GB , arn't DVD's just 4,7 or something ? don't I not have to burn it on a disk to boot it ?

Comments (36): i tried burning with Nero but macbook won't recognize this as an istall disc when i hold down 'c'. someone mentioned TransMac. can i get a step-by-step on how to burn this bin file with that software? • How about disk 2?? • Can some someone please advise? Comments (113): i need help i can not make my mac go on the net • Leo is out now, and if anybody wants help, look me up @ Www.insanelymac.com my user is Think Mark • Then I boot from the DVD it freeses with a Cernel Panic, what do I have to do? • For 10.4.x Install Dvds: 1) Use partition magic or other partition software such as Acronis's suite or another partitioning program to resize a PRIMARY partition so that you have at least 10 Gigs of unallocated space. Then create a 10 gig PRIMARY fat32 partition. 2)Put in your installation dvd. Reboot you computer. 3) Go into the utilities menu at the top of your screen once you have booted off of the DVD and go into the disk utility, (wait a few seconds or up to a minute for it to load) 4) Take the fat32 partition you just created and format it as mac os extended. 5) Exit the disk utillity 6) Hit next and agree with the license agreement. 7) Customise your installation. 8) If you have an intel computer select the intel packages and if you have an AMD computer select the AMD pack
