Thank everyone for the uploads really enjoy almost all of them.I have a question...i try many AVI to MPEG converters to make vcd's, but they take too long to convert...so...Which software would you recomend as the "fastest" converter?...again thanks...and as usual ill seed...

If you want it done right it takes some time. What you need to speed it up is more horsepower under the hood.As far as software goes, I tried MANY different programs and found out that the free ones worked best.In windows, I prefer TMPGENC. Free, easy to use, and decent speed (just under real time on my old P4-2.4GHz.)In linux/unix, I prefer Avidemux. It does for me what I needed 3 seperate programs to do in Windows. Its a little slower, and it takes some getting used to because it lacks decent documentation (like so many OSS programs) but its a kickass program.

bladerunnert -------- ahh the NAT error. the quintessential problem for Azureus. it's no sweat, use ports 53000-63000 instead of the default. most people use this including myself. and another thing, make sure you've got your ports forwarded on your router and through your firewall and have both tcp and udp enabled. if you got any other probs, put them down. good luck

  • Subject : Question re:routers

    chalantism at 2006-03-04 08:33:43

When reconfiguring ports can one put down the default ports as well as the extra ports i.e.: torrent port 6899 - 6999torrent port 16899 - 16999torrent port 53000 - 63000in sequence. Would this open all of the given ports or just confuse the router?
