A downloads is the number of how many times the torrent has been downloaded according to its tracker record
A seeder is a peer that has a complete copy of the torrent and still offers it for upload. The more seeders there are, the better the chances are for completion of the file
A leech is usually a peer who has a negative effect on the swarm by having a very poor share ratio - in other words, downloading much more than they upload. Most leeches are users on asymmetric internet connections who do not leave their BitTorrent client open to seed the file after their download has completed. However, some leeches intentionally avoid uploading by using modified clients or excessively limiting their upload speed. The term leech, however, can be used simply to describe a peer - or any client that does not have 100% of the data
A peer is one instance of a BitTorrent client running on a computer on the Internet that other clients connect to and transfer data. Usually a peer does not have the complete file, but only parts of it, however, peer can be used to refer to any participant in the swarm (in this case, also known as a client). Note that the colloquial definition of peer is anybody, leech or seed, involved in a torrent
A health (or avaiability) the number of full copies of the file available to the client. Each seeder adds 1.0 to this number, as they have one complete copy of the file. A connected peer with a fraction of the file available adds that fraction to the availability, if no other peer has this part of the file. (ie. a peer with 65.3% of the file downloaded increases the availability by 0.653, when two peers who both have the same 50% of the file downloaded and there is one seeder the availability is 1.5)

In reply to Flatline's (aka Justin on IRCSpy)Shameless Usenext Advertisement on T-Spy's News Section:Good job, dude. You just ruined the usenet, a wholesome, FREE, downloading service, for millions. Your lude, and dishonest actions into leading fellow P2P-ers, leechers, and seeders, have more than obviously labeled you as no better than a telemarketer. I'm sure you get tons of e-mail from people about this, but I needed a personal gratification. You inconsiderably lead people to a site with lots of pretty pictures cut from random others that you(or others) put into an almost worthwhile looking offer. But to have to pay for a incredibly simplistic client, that implies but doesn't even promise free (or pay) use of any service, is absolutely ludicrous. The site contains at least two images in the heading bar that look like common Awards, such as a Quality/Value/etc, but yet again, they promise nothing. The one on the left doesn't even emphasize and kind of special implement in the programming or any sort of outstanding service. It merely states "1 YEAR, USENEXT DOWNLOAD SERVICE" when Usenext is a Win32 executable binary PROGRAM. Not a service. And that's only one of the implications that send a weakened mind into thinking, "Oh, I'm getting a free network to download off of! Cool!".Lemme tell ya, that ain't cool.Look. Right at this moment, I can go to a certain site, and download a very simple usenet client, AND yEnc, NNTP file posting executable, both for FREE, and without any sort of registration or information sharing. So to use Usenext, is absolutely absurd, when I could pay less for a 3 USD-a-month 180 Terabyte NNTP Server, OR, use the one that comes with my ISP. I have been for months, and although my HD has filled up fast ( : \ ), I am happier than ever. And I didn't even have to download anything from TSpy, IRCSpy, OR! :O Usenext. Plus, now that TSpy renovated, there's tons of Usenext ads all over anyways, along with tons from sites such as Google and other popular pages. So, in all, I urge you to either remove that article or even just the bottom paragraph, or to write an apology to all the devoted and loving fans of TorrentSpy, who willingly give their time and bandwidth to you, and your shameless advertisement. At least that would satisfy people.SignedUltralazuli.Sent. :->
Correct me if i am wrong but the news info did say it will never take the spirit away from bitorrent and its a good place to look for older files. In the past i have paid for usenet.. and its okay, but at the end of the day it isnt as good as places like torrentspy and all the others before that that have closed down.. Makes you wonder how this place is still going, what makes it special since it has more that most.. time will tell. maybe they know something we dont and it gonna be shut down! hey .. just a thought.

Does anyone here know of a way to strip an audio file from one movie and replace it with another? Reason I ask is because I downloaded this movie, but over dubbed with a different language. (The video quality superb) so I downloaded the same movie from another place (the video quality is horrible but the sound fits) So I was wondering if there is a way to replace one audio file from one move to another? Thanks people

quote:when u put the torrent up u shouldve write that is in polish freaking polish idiotMan.Of.The.House.2005.PL.DVDRip.XViD.SSB.avii think the torrent name says it all, PL means Polish and to be fair the sites that people spend there quality time uploading films for people have a seperate box to include additional info which when people snatch and upload to other sites like this who do not actually host any torrents but nick them from great sites like piratebay.org that info isn't transferred with it. Yes when he created the torrent he could have been more specific for noobs who don't understand how torrents are named, but then again why should he when the vast majority of people who slag other peoples torrents off are leechers who don't share anyway. So the question should be who are the idiots that jump into downloading a torrent without understanding the title?Fair enough if you download this mistakenly and kindly let other people know it's dubbed in another language, but don't slag em off until you've bought a copy took the time to convert it to a nice size file, then took the time out to create a torrent file, then uploaded it a site then took time and bandwidth to share it for free only to have dickheads pay you back for all your free time and effort to slag it off for no reason as the torrent name has all the info people require. Instead spend your time learning the certain terms that people in the bit torrent community use.
