Somewhere In Time is one of the most highly under appreciated love stories of our time, with an added sci - fi element. Richard Collier (Reeve) must travel back in time to find the woman he has become obsessed in finding (played by Seymour). A truly wonderful film that is as sensitive as it is beautiful.
In 1972, a college playwright is handed a fine silver watch by an elegant elderly lady who whispers "come back to me." By 1978 he is a success, but alone and experiencing writer's block, so he runs away to a country resort. There he spies the photograph of a gorgeous young woman, and a little research reveals she was a great actress of the early 20th century, and also the old woman who gave him the watch. Through self-hypnosis, he wills himself back to 1912 at the resort hotel, in order to meet this beguiling goddess
