Perhaps you can clear this up for me - my ps3 plays the m2ts just fine and I get the 6 channels. however the mp4 is only 2 channel. I am familiar with the setup as I am able to convert from .mkv to .m2ts or .mpg and have them play with 6 channels. Thanks for your feedback • thank you for responding,bricktop. love your m2ts rips the most,mp4's are good,but i use a 60 gig ps3,a 42" plasma and 5.1 surround sound receiver for home entertainment.the m2ts allows for 1080p video and 5.1 audio,the mp4 has same video quality but only 2 channel audio(stereo).mpeg format gives you the same as m2ts,but results in a much larger file size.i wonder if there will ever be a way around that stupid ass FAT 32 4 gig size limit,otherwise whats the point of larger annd larger size removable storage. • I just started making rips a couple of months ago so i dont know why they are all different sizes.
