"Get" Roxio easy media creator 7.5, convert your AVI 'very quickly' to MPEG and burn to DVD (in minutes,) where you can sit and watch it on your own TV. It's better if you have a widescreen with the option of changing viewing screen sizes. Watch it in 'stretch.' Smooth at 2007-08-01 00:39:00 If you open an .avi file (which these are) in Windows Media Player and either, A) Get an Error message saying WMP does not support this file type. Or, B) The file plays with only the audio and no video. Then, 1) Go to "http://www.divx.com/divx/windows/codec/" (No Quotes) 2) Click the Green Box that says 'Free Download 23 MB' 3) Download & Install the File, (follow the given directions) Then, Windows Media Player will play any .AVI file with no problem. Note: This download Does NOT install another program (or adware) to play videos with, it simply allows WMP and other programs to support .avi playback.
