I changed the names of the avi file and the srt file to the same exact name but the subs still dont appear and they are switched on in my windows media player. im using vista

Thanks all! It was fun, collecting all these .srt subtitle files, sync them, and get this good ViLLAiN rip back to life again. 4400 uploads isn't bad. I hope I didn't damage the maker Hany Abu-Assad to much.. This excellent Dutch-Palestine film maker deserves his *****. Please buy his DVD if you can, he might make more good stuff. But I am sure he wants an audience as big as possible. Who does this, isn't in it for the *****.. I will keep seeding this. I share a lot of files, on the subject of the Palestine-Israel conflict only. To my opinion the whole case is the biggest scandal in European politics, ever since WW II, not to mention what Americans do.. Perhaps if more Americans and Europeans would realise, 99% of the Palestinians really is just al human being like you and me, we might get realistic arguments and politics after 41 years. Not too much to ask for western efficiency, is it?..

Problems showing subtitles? Vista is not a problem at all. Windows Media Player? I checked. I have version 10: 1. Menu bar > Play > Subtitles > On, if available. (I had to click this.) 2. You don't have to rename the .srt file. 3. I had to remove all other srt-files, and keep only one. It seems WMP10 cannot handle various subtitles. So if you delete all SRT files you don't need, WMP10 will show the subtitles. But if you want to keep seeding this (Yes! miauw?) Copy the AVI and the right SRT file to another place. VCL media player can handle more subtitles. My BSplayer too. Perhaps the newer WMP11 can too.. I see no other complaints, so the movie will still be OK in sept. 2008. It is pretty good for a 700 MB file. It was the best I found..
