Si tienes un equipo antiguo en el que el Windows XP SP2 carga muy lento o no funciona y estas cansado del Windows 98, de sus limitaciones y sus pantallazos, tienes 2 opciones, o le metes Linux (una versión ligera), desconocido para muchos, o metes esta versión del Windows XP SP2 que es lo más fácil para cualquiera que haya usado Windows.
Sin duda lo primero que llama la atención es que el CD de Windows XP Lite SP2 está medio vacÃo, ocupa en el CD solo 144 MB mucho menos que su hermano mayor, entonces te preguntas ¿realmente lo notaré al instalarlo?
Pues sÃ, ya desde la instalación podemos observar que es bastante rápido de instalar (yo lo he probado en un Celeron 400 con 64 Mb de RAM).
Cuando terminas la instalación lo primero que observas es que la apariencia no es como la del XP de siempre, sino que ya tiene un efecto visual, esto permite cargar cualquier tema visual que elijas.
Al ser usado en equipos antiguos configura automáticamente la mayorÃa del hardware, lo cual se agradece, y tiene todas las ventajas de XP en cuanto al uso de pendrives y similares. Viene con SP2 integrado, asà que actualiza automáticamente, tiene cortafuegos y todas sus ventajas.
En definitiva, si tienes un PC antiguo o poco potente y quieres ganar en velocidad y rendimiento usa esta versión del XP y le puedes agregar software portables.
Si tienes un PC moderno puedes instalarlo también y veras como vuela.
