I didn't know XP came in 64, can someone please confirm this? • I don't see any files in "C:\WINDOWS\system32\Drivers" if I try to open them in some progrema (PSPad for instance) I can access that folder by explorer and see all files, but it is named different :"C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers" (no caps on drivers). If I try to drag some file on PSPad, it ask me if I want to create that file, and I can. Obviously there are two different folders but the main one is somehow restricted. (I am administrator) Whats up and how can I access that folder without restrictions please ? • I've installed this, working fine. Just have to install your own drivers if needed. I follow the instructions for making it OEM, and to build a bootable disk. It worked perfectly. Installed my serial on installation, and validated through internet. Now I have a Laptop with the original license validated. I had to do this, because this Laptop was given to me without any installation disk. It had an pirated Windows XP Profesional installed, that was given me problems. The Battery Charger was also missing. I bought one at ebay for $11.99, including shipping and insurance. B

Comments (82): got a new cd rom today, this image booted just fine. • I take my last comment back. It appears as if my cdrom is borked (guess thats what i get from using one that was manufactured in 1998..) • I just downloaded, image it did not contain a boot partition. I repeat this is not a bootable image. • Saviorx, Use the call microsoft method of activation and just tell them you reinstalled windows. • Did not activate for me. I used a Home OEM key off a vaio laptop to install this. Installed fine. Accepted key. But FAILS activation. Would like a legit way of activating, but looks like i need to get a crack?
